We provide AI-based software and services for fashion and footwear retailers, including size & fit recommendation, AI Photoshoot, Visual Search, Virtual Try-On integrations, analytics tools, and related Shopify applications.

Information We Collect

a. Personally Identifiable Information (PII)
We may collect the following when you contact us, use our software, or install our apps:

  • Name, company, email, phone, and address
  • Billing details
  • Uploaded images or files (for example, product or model photos)
  • IP address, browser type, and device data
  • Meeting or demo recordings for training and quality assurance
 

When uploading any image containing identifiable individuals, you confirm you have the lawful rights or consent to do so.

b. Analytical and Pseudonymised Data
We collect anonymised or aggregated data such as device type, operating system, session duration, location, and interactions to improve user experience.
We may use web-analytics and behavioural-insight tools (for example website cookies, Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and similar session-replay or tracking technologies). These tools help us understand how visitors use our websites and services, identify usability issues, and measure performance.

Virtual Try-On (VTO) and Third-Party API Integrations

Prime AI integrates with trusted third-party visualisation providers to enable Virtual Try-On (VTO) experiences.
When this feature is activated:

  • Product images and garment metadata may be securely transmitted to our technology partner’s API for the sole purpose of generating a temporary garment visualisation.
  • All processing is encrypted and performed in compliance with GDPR and UK DPA 2018.
  • Data is used only for rendering and is not stored or reused beyond the session.
  • Our partner acts as a sub-processor under our data-protection agreements.
 

Prime AI acts as a data processor on behalf of the retailer.

Shopify App and Platform Data

When using Prime AI via the Shopify App Store or other e-commerce integrations:

  • Shopify or the platform provider may share store metadata (store name, domain, contact email, installation details) to enable integration.
  • Prime AI processes this data only for service provision and analytics.

Preferences, Opt-Out and User Rights

You have the right to:

Data Stoage and Security
  • Data is stored on secure servers located in the UK or EEA (or other jurisdictions with equivalent protection).
  • We apply encryption, access controls, and pseudonymisation.
  • Data is retained only as long as required for operational, legal, or contractual obligations.
Children's Privacy

Our website and software services are not directed at children. If we are made aware that we have received personally identifiable information for someone under 18, we will use reasonable efforts to remove that information from our records as per the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act.

Cookies

Cookies are files which websites and widget use in order to work properly and provide important visitor data to us. In order for our service to be functional. These files are automatically stored by your browser on your device when visiting a website or interacting with a size recommendation widgets, back in stock alerts or dynamic content recommendations. However, you can configure your computer in such a way that no cookies are stored on your computer.

Pixel tags or clear GIFs

To help us understand the effectiveness of select communications and marketing efforts, we may use “message format” and “message open” sensing technologies that use pixel tags or clear GIFs (which are also called web beacons). These technologies allow us to know if your email program is able to accept HTML emails and, if it is, to: send you emails in that format, determine if you have opened our e-mail messages, and completed a purchase.

Outside sources

We may collect Personal Information about you from retail partners, business partners, contractors, and other third parties. This includes, but is not limited to, instances in which you affirmatively authorise those third parties to provide us with Personal Information. For example, retail partners may provide us with Personal Information about items you have purchased from them in the past so that we can provide better fit recommendations for you. This Personal Information is shared with us in accordance with that third party’s privacy policy. Retaining data

When storing data, we aim to retain the data for no longer than is necessary for the purpose in which it was obtained, with the objective to ensure the highest level of data accuracy. Where identified as inaccurate, data is either rectified or destroyed in a secure manner. Data retention periods may vary between operational activities, with the business providing consideration as to the length of time data is held for on a case by case basis.

Regarding storage, there are several ways in which your data may be stored: within cloud servers. When utilising platforms to fulfil our operational requirements, third party solutions may be used to store the data. As a company, we aim to utilise partners who have data centres within the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom and India (for users from India only).

Personal information collected from visitors outside of the European Economic Area (EEA), may be transferred to European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom data centres. By doing business or interacting with Prime AI, you are consenting to the transfer of your Personal Information to facilities located in the European Economic Area (EEA) and United Kingdom.

We share data only with trusted sub-processors (for example hosting, analytics, visualisation, or platform partners) under GDPR-compliant agreements.
Transfers outside the EEA/UK are safeguarded through Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or adequacy decisions.

We follow guidance from the ICO (Information Commissioner’s Office), they are the UK’s independent supervisory body that uphold information rights. The ICO have stated in line with the GDPR that we have to provide you information on how we process personal data:
