Shein raises US prices by up to 377% as Trump tariffs take hold
Shein has raised prices for US shoppers, following through on its warning earlier this month that new tariffs would push operating costs higher.
The fast fashion giant increased prices across key categories last Friday (25 April), with some products more than quadrupling in cost overnight. A 10-pack of dish cloths, previously priced at $1.28, jumped to $6.10 – a 377% rise, according to Bloomberg data. (Source)
ChatGPT now to recommend products and where to buy them - Is this the future for ecommerce?
There were one billion searches on ChatGPT last week. And now, the platform is launching updates to its shopping experience, to create “conversational shopping”, parent company OpenAI announced today.
From now on, when ChatGPT users search for fashion, beauty, home goods or electronics, the platform will provide personalised recommendations, visual product details, pricing comparisons across retailers, and reviews, with direct links to buy from within the ChatGPT interface from merchant websites that stock the item.
